If dinosaurs could talk we would not have to have these conversations about the age of dinosaurs or geologic layers. The dinosaurs could tell us the truth and then the arguments would be over, right? Not very likely.
University students pride themselves in being independent in their thinking. Yet, I could swear 99% of students think alike when it comes to evolution and origins. Where is their curiosity? The desire for truth? Even if dinosaurs came back to life and could tell people when and how they died, most university students today would not listen. Rather, they engage in deflection, “Oh, Christian scientists are not scientists, just because they have a Ph.D., anyone can get a Ph.D. and so on. It’s amazing to me that the same people who claim to love “science” dismiss any evidence that contradicts their love for evolution.
One of my first questions for those I interview is, “What is the scientific method”? I ask this question to orient the interviewees to think about the raw nature of science. To think about what is empirical evidence. I then ask, “In light of the scientific method, what do you consider to be the best empirical evidence in favor of evolution and is also exclusive to evolution?” Hey, these people think that evolution is a fact. For such certainty the evidence should be everywhere, hanging off of trees and starring us in the face. It’s a FACT, right? So show me the evidence!
However, inevitably, if the student does answer the question, it is either not empirical or it is not exclusive to evolution. Let me explain. Empirical is the standard that the scientific method gives us. The scientific method as seen in the image below should start with a question or hypothesis. One would then create an experiment, etc. the results of the experiment are either positive or negative and can be verified by others.

Everyone is familiar with the classic pictures of chimpanzees getting larger up to humans. The problem is there is no empirical evidence for this. It’s just comparative anatomy. One can look at fossils and then see similarities from one species of primate to another. That’s not empirical evidence, it can just as well point to God as creator who designed similarities in animals!
It does raise the topic though of two sources of evidence that evolution promoters used for decades to convince the public that humans did evolve from chimpanzees. One source was the myth of the 1% difference between humans and chimps. It is truly amazing to see just how far the evolution promoters would go. It is likewise amazing to see how gullible the public will be when such an argument is presented to them by the establishment scientific community. All one has to do is look at a picture of humans and chimps together to see there is tons of difference outwardly, not to mention all the internal differences. How could anyone fall for this myth? The myth was finally overthrown in the early 20th century when the genomes for humans and chimps were sequenced and then compared empirically.

The second weapon the promoters of evolution used in the late 20th century was popularly called, Junk DNA. Students today are usually not familiar with this argument because, like the 1% myth, it was empirically proven false in the early 21 century. Richard Dawkins and other atheists had said in their books, debates, articles etc. that Junk DNA is evolutionary leftovers. Biologists did not know what 98% of the human genome did so they called it evolutionary leftovers. It was an argument from ignorance but the public bought it because the intelligentsia like Dawkins sounded sure it was so. That is until it was proven not so. But it fit the evolution narrative so well!
In the early 21 century, in 2007 an article came out from ENCODE a consortium of scientists that were funded by the US government to study the human genome. What was concluded shook the evolutionary community. They were immediately in denial and continue to push back. The article from the consortium declared that at least 80% of the human genome was not junk DNA because it has some function. They went on to say, likely the whole genome is functional, they just didn’t have the data on the last 20 percent! E. Yong wrote, “Almost every nucleotide is associated with a function of some sort or another, and we now know where they are, what binds to them, what their associations are, and more… We don’t really have any large chunks of redundant DNA. The above is to say, don’t believe everything you hear. And if it does not pass the smell test, it’s probably not good data. Guess what, all of evolution theory stinks to high heaven. It is amazing to think, DNA is the most sophisticated programming language that ever existed. It is a code! If evolution was true, and there is no God, there could never be a DNA code. Period. Information comes from intelligent sources not by natural causes.
Suppose there is no God, no intelligence. Did chemicals and energy identify and choose the 4 nucleotides (code letters) to make up the DNA code? Why was it four and not two like computer code? Did chemicals and energy identify and choose the syntax for the code, there are rules that are part of DNA such as the fact that two nucleotides only pair with a specific other nucleotide (not with any of the other three)! Did chemicals and energy identify and choose the semantics in the code? Those nucleotides are not arranged randomly they are arranged specifically to create a coherent message for making proteins and sending messages. The whole notion of natural evolution is so crazy, on steroids crazy, not one single protein could ever in any time could get designed by natural causes! Wake up, evolution theory stinks!
One more thing about dinosaurs. I think it would be wonderful, if someday the theory of evolution became a “dinosaur”, left in the ruble of establishment scientist myths. There have been so many of these myths, if the public only knew! Whole books have been written about them, such as Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth? by Jonathan Wells. But I am reminded of John 8:31,32 “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
